Why?
If you were to purchase a property in the UK would you hand over your hard earned money on the request of someone you have only just met? NO! I doubt you would.
We have a Turkish law firm, they will be dealing with the purchase procedures, all money paid by the client will be deposited into the lawyers client account, not through an estate agent.
We hear of so many property deals that have gone wrong, lost money, lost property etc because the purchaser put their entire trust in someone they had barely met. We hear and read stories on how much more simple it is to purchase a property in Turkey than the UK, well, this is a myth, your lawyer will check:-
A. A full check of the deeds at the Tapu office. This check can now only be carried out by registered lawyers
B. Check of planning permissions, building permits, sitting permissions, tax due, outstanding fees, electricity and water supplies, if you have sitting tenants and more.
C. The drawing up of a detailed purchase contract with the seller including payments terms, currency type, fixtures and fittings and other sundries included in the sale.
For the sake of the cost of a lawyer (between £500-£1000) ensure your dream will not turn into a nightmare
